bbbIf you’re a bacon lover like me, you’ll want to visit the Botanical Conservatory on Saturday, March 29th, for Fort Wayne’s annual Beer, Bourbon and Bacon Festival!

Mixing two things that Fort Wayne does well – meat and beer – local breweries and restaurants are coming together to create a savory evening of fun for the 21 and older crowd.  Some popular local breweries are Mad Anthony and Summit City Brewerks.  Other national brewing companies will be featured, too, like Flat 12 and the Lexington Brewing Co.  There will be over 60 beer samples for you to try, so you might discover a new favorite drink. I love trying new foods, and I think this festival is a great way to sample a variety of bacon-themed items and support local restaurants at the same time.  Restaurants include:  Trolley Steaks and Seafood, Main Street Bistro & Martini Lounge, Chops, Eddie Merlot’s, and my personal favorite – Shigs in Pit!  These are all popular restaurants with the locals, so you know you’ll be getting quality and delicious food! So, if you’re still making plans for an upcoming Saturday night, head on over to the Conservatory and savor Fort Wayne’s finest foods and drinks. When:  Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Where:  Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St. Tickets are $35 for General Admission.  Click here for more information and tickets.
