What's better than a visit to the Shipshewana auction and flea market? Experiencing it on the road, of course! In case you're not familiar, Shipshewana is  the place for antiques and sundries. Held every Tuesday and Wednesday of each week from the first of May through the end of October, you can find hundreds of vendors selling everything from fresh fruit to handcrafted furniture at the Shipshewana Flea Market. During this time the small community comes alive with travelers from all over to visit this Hoosier tradition. There is so much to take in. It's the perfect place for a girl's day out.

 

 

 

If you'd rather pass on the drive (over an hour from Fort Wayne), this is your chance to get in on the action in Fort Wayne.  For more than 20 years, the Shipshewana On The Road Gift and Craft Show has brought the best of the flea market to customers. Here you'll find thousands of unique items that you may not find anywhere else! 

Customers from all over can get it on the fun. They set up shop in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Fort Wayne will host the show March 28-29 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Hours are 9 am to 6 pm Saturday and 9 am to 5 pm Sunday. Adults are $4, while childnre under $12 are free. Parking is $5 in the main lot.
