Father’s Day 5K
If Dad likes to run, start his weekend with the Father’s Day 5K, a race to celebrate responsible fatherhood on Saturday, June 20th. The race features two race options: the family-friendly 5K and an Extreme Ruck 5K, where runners bring their own backpack filled with baby items to be donated. The race begins at 9:00 AM at Associated Churches at 602 E Wayne Street.

Want an event the whole family can enjoy? Watch thousands of rubber ducks float down the St. Joe River on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Johnny Appleseed Park Boat Ramp at 11:00 AM. Arena Dinner Theatre Presents Daddy’s Dyin’ Who’s Got the Will?
The play, set in a small Texas town, shows the rebirth of a family’s spirit. Doors open at 6:15 PM at Arena Dinner Theatre, 719 Rockhill Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. Fort Wayne Tin Caps Baseball Versus Bowling Green
Take dad out to the ballgame at Parkview Field on Saturday night, June 20th at 7:05 PM. The award-winning Parkview Field is home to the 2009 Midwest League Champions who will play the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Be sure to stay for the fireworks show at the end of the game! Rock the Plaza
Does Dad enjoy music? Take him to Rock the Plaza, a free concert at the Allen County Public Library’s downtown branch on Saturday, June 20th. Performers on June 20th include KT & the Swingset Quartet, the Insta-Gators and Tone Junkies. Bring lawnchairs. The first band begins at 6:00 PM.
If Dad enjoys wine, then take him to Wine Splash at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art on Saturday, June 20 from 6:30-10:30 PM. Dad can try wines from Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and more. Enjoy RibFest on Saturday June 20 or Sunday June 21st at Headwaters Park in Downtown Fort Wayne. Award-winning rib recipes from all over the country are featured at this festival that was voted one of the top Ribfests in the country by Martha Stewart Magazine. RibFest is free everyday until 5:30, as well as all day Sunday. After 5:30, it’s $6.00/adults, $5.00/Seniors, $4.00/students, military, police and firefighters with ID. Kids 13 and under are free. Ribfest is held at Headwaters Park, 330 S. Clinton St. Fort Wayne.
