At age 11, Davy Knowles began teaching himself how to play the guitar. At 18, his first album reached number 7 on the Blues Billboard Chart. And by his early 20’s, Knowles' guitar skills were compared to that of blues rock heavyweights Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. And now you can experience Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam as they make a stop at Foellinger Outdoor Theater this Friday! You can enjoy the band’s original sound that has been inspired by world renowned artists like Dire Staits, Rory Gallagher and Robert Johnson.
