Is there a better writing assignment than writing about one of Northeast Indiana's wineries?  I think not.  I assured Visit Fort Wayne that I was up for the task. So, with the hubs by my side, we were off to taste some wine. It's a tough life we lead. Screen Shot 2013-02-07 at 6.22.47 PMOwned by Jeremy and Jennifer Lutter, Country Heritage Winery has been open since 2011. Since their opening, they have been bringing great tasting wine to the residents of Northeast Indiana and have created quite a following. We decided to avoid the chocolate making class this time but will certainly be taking that class in the future. Country Heritage offers a large variety of events if you're looking for more than traditional wine tasting. Recent events have included cooking classes such as "Cooking with Wine" and art classes with Wine and Canvas, a company that swears they can teach anyone how to be an artist while drinking wine. Sounds like the perfect combination! Country Heritage is a great place to host group meetings, birthday parties, and events. The Mercedes Benz Club of America recently hosted a group outing there and had a great time. Beautiful cars and great wine. What more can you ask for?  They also offer discounts on larger orders of wine for weddings and events. On a mix and match case of wine, they offer 10% off. On a single variety case, they offer 15% off and on an order of 6 cases or more you can expect as much as 20% off the order. Country Heritage offers a variety of wines from dry to dessert wines.  With prices ranging from $10-$30 per bottle, you're sure to find something that suits your palate and your budget.  They also offer a non-alcoholic Sparkling Juice for those not interested in wine. The winery's hours change from summer to winter so check their website for specific hours of operation.   Their website also provides information on upcoming events and renting their space for private events.
