Summer is winding down, and soon, shopping for school supplies and new clothes will be consuming the minds of children and parents all over. (I’m guessing many over-achieving mothers and fathers already have this situation under control!) But after a summer of vacations, zoo trips, adventures in the park, splash-pad playing and the occasional movie-going excursion, the last thing your kids want to do is hit the books and sit in class all day. So how can you ease them back into school mode? Head to Science Central!

And now is the perfect time to get your children caught up on their technological history with a visit to Science Central’s newest exhibit, Bible Times Tech, where they will experience an interactive display of technologies used 3,000 years ago in the ancient Middle East. Bible Times Tech allows children to see (and play, in some cases) board games, cooking materials, musical instruments, time-keeping devices and much more along side their present day counterparts.

Beat on an ancient drum or attempt to write in ancient letters when you take an end-of the summer trip to Science Central!

Bible Times Tech is a traveling exhibition created by SciTech Hands On Museum in Aurora, Ill. Visitors of Science Central can enjoy the display now through August 28. For more information about Bible Times Tech and a visit to Science Central, visit us online.
