1st Annual Foodstock: October 12

The food truck craze has been sweeping the nation, and this year, Fort Wayne got in on the action, with a handful of the wheeled kitchens hitting the streets. Parking at various locations around town, local food trucks have been wowing us with their unique cuisine. And now, they’ve come together to form the Food Truck Association, and have organized Foodstock, an event featuring live music, entertainment, and of course, delicious gourmet food from our local food trucks!

Sponsored by the Shiloh, Foodstock will feature American classics from JumBy’s JoiNt, hot dogs from Bravas Dogs, gourmet Spanish cuisine from Bravas Food Truck, Mexican fare from The Getaway Grill, Creole classics from Ragin’ Cajun, and farm to fork selections from Affine Food Truck. Kernel Coladas will also be on hand serving up gourmet popcorn, and Whip ‘n Chill will have a selection of sweet treats.

For $15, attendees may purchase a tasting pass, allowing them to try a sample dish from each food truck. Other menu items will be available for purchase, as well. The event runs from 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday, October 12, at the Shiloh, 3127 Carroll Road. Local musical acts Todd Harrold Band, Afrodesiacs, and Groove Caravan will provide entertainment.
