Courtney’s Bakery

Fort Wayne’s friendly hospitality was evident at Courtney’s Bakery southwest location the moment I opened the door. A vast array of colorful cupcakes greeted me as well as a friendly baker. When she invited me to sample chocolate brownies, I concurred! She explained some cupcake flavors and ingredients, such as nuts, are only used in peanut butter ganache cupcakes, unless requested.

Courtney’s offers a wide variety of cupcake flavors, ranging from traditional flavors to the popular Angry Birds designs ($1.50 – $2.50 each). They also sell special desserts like cannoli and cheesecakes. Gluten-free and sugar-free cupcakes are available at an additional charge.

This bakery also creates elaborate cakes of all sizes, colors and textures ($50 – $500). They sell birthday candles and hand-crafted, all-occasion cards for customers who need last-minute gifts. A pitcher of cold water sits on the counter, available to customers on hot summer days. This is a bakery that goes out of its way to help customers.
