Join the Appleseed Quilters!

This Appleseed Quilt Show promises to be a feast for the eyes as more than 300 quilts will be exhibited. Workshops will be held by skilled quilters like nationally-known quilter Jacquie Gering. Gering is a contributing designer and author for Stitch and Quilter’s World magazines.

Those shopping for early Christmas presents could find something at the Appleseed Quilters Guild Boutique. Quilts, wall-hangings, holiday items, totes, purses and other sewing items made by quild members will be for sale.

I think it’s neat that the guild is encouraging the creativity of teens by offering a special exhibit of quilts made by quilters aged 17 and younger. Can teens sit still long enough to make a quilt? We’ll find out!

A modest $5.00 registration fee includes admittance all three days. Children 12 and under are free.

For more information about the Appleseed Quilt Show’s quilt entry fees, schedule and prices for workshops go to www.appleseedquiltersguild.com.
